‘A’ level course of NIELIT Scheme is equivalent to an Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications. Students can acquire this qualification by undergoing this course and passing the examination conducted by the NIELIT. Working professionals can also appear in this examination directly, provided they possess the requisite educational qualification as indicated below.

The fact that ‘A’ Level can be done alongside regular college classes means that the student becomes an employable professional right after graduation without spending another year or two in getting a professional qualification. Thus without any wastage of time, the ‘A’Level holder gets ready to secure credible employment in the job market.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India has recognized ‘A’ level examination conducted by the Computer Society of India (CSI) under the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Scheme as equivalent to Advanced Diploma level course for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government vide their notification No: F 18-23/92-TD.V/TS-IV dated 10th April1996. In view of the above notification the passed out candidates with ‘A’ level qualification from the NIELIT will henceforth be the eligible for registration in employment exchanges for job assistance.

Successful students of the O’ level course, pursuing A’ level, will be exempted from M1-R4, M2-R4 and M3-R4 modules in the A’ level examinations.
The internal assessment of academic performance is based on the evaluation of the following:-

The results are provided in the form of performance grades accordingly.
